How any ClonyPDF tool works

The same three steps apply across the whole suite. There is no queue, no email step and no export wall.

  1. Open the tool you need

Every tool above is its own page, with the options and the file size limit for that job stated on it.

  2. Add your file

Drag a file onto the upload area or browse for it. On a phone you can pick straight from your gallery, Files app or cloud drive.

  3. Download the result

Save the finished file to your device. Temporary copies on the server are cleared automatically instead of being kept.

Free online PDF tools that finish the job

ClonyPDF is a suite of free PDF tools for students, job applicants and office work. Whether you need to compress a PDF so it clears an upload cap, merge several documents into one file, or password-protect something sensitive, the tool opens in your browser and there is nothing to install first.

  • Runs in any modern browser
  • No account or sign-up
  • No watermark on the output
  • Uploads served over HTTPS only
  • PDF Editor takes files up to 50 MB
  • Token Saver works without uploading

The conversion tools cover both directions. Turn JPG photos into a PDF, pull pages out as lossless PNG images, or use the PDF to WebP converter when the pages are headed for a website. For form photos there are two separate tools, because the requirements are different: Exam Photo Resizer targets the pixel size and KB cap an exam portal specifies, while Passport Photo Maker works from official passport, visa and ID dimensions per country.

Two tools sit slightly outside the usual convert-and-compress set. The PDF Editor changes text, images and pages inside an existing document and accepts files up to 50 MB, clearing uploads within the hour. Token Saver analyses a PDF in the browser and strips repeated headers, footers and reference blocks before you paste the text into an AI chat, so nothing is uploaded at all. How uploads are handled across the suite is set out in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Limits, privacy and picking the right tool.

Are all ClonyPDF tools completely free?

Yes. Every tool listed on this page is free to use, with no subscription, no trial and no payment step. Some tools apply a fair-use cap per hour to keep the servers responsive.

Do I need an account or any software?

Neither. There is no sign-up, no login and nothing to install. Each tool runs as a normal web page in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Android or iOS.

What happens to the files I upload?

Uploads travel over HTTPS, which is enforced site-wide, and processed files are removed automatically rather than kept. The PDF Editor, for example, clears uploads within an hour. Full details are in the ClonyPDF privacy policy.

Is there a file size limit?

The limit is set per tool, and each tool page states its own. The PDF Editor accepts files up to 50 MB, and Token Saver works on files up to 25 MB entirely inside your browser.

Do the finished files have a watermark?

No. Nothing is stamped onto your document or photo, so the output is ready to submit, print or email as-is.

Can I use these tools on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Every tool page is responsive and accepts files from your gallery, your Files app or a cloud drive, so no separate mobile app is needed.

Which tool should I use to shrink a PDF for email or an online form?

Start with Compress PDF. If the file is still too large, remove what you do not need with Remove Pages or keep only the pages you were asked for using Split PDF, then compress again.

How do I resize a photo for an exam portal like SSC, UPSC or NEET?

Use the Exam Photo Resizer and enter the pixel dimensions and KB limit from the notification. For passport, visa or ID photos instead, the Passport Photo Maker works from official per-country sizes.

Got a file that needs fixing right now?

Shrinking an oversized PDF is the most common job here. Start there, or pick any tool above.
