Document & passport photos
The Passport Photo Maker detects your face, applies the exact crop ratio and head-height band your destination requires, replaces the background, and exports both a print file and a portal-ready upload. Alongside it sits a reference library covering photo size, background colour, head position, expression and the reasons applications get rejected.
PDF tools
Compress a file under a strict upload limit, merge scattered documents, split out the pages you need, add or remove a password, fix orientation, or convert between PDF and image formats. Each tool does one job with as few steps as possible, and the size-specific guides cover the awkward limits that government and exam portals impose.
Why ClonyPDF exists
Most online file tools ask for something before they help you: an account, an email address, a subscription, or a watermark on the way out. Others upload your documents to a server when the work could have been done on your own device.
ClonyPDF was built the other way round. Open a tool, do the task, leave. There is no signup step, no upsell, and no watermark. Where a job can be done in the browser, it is — which is why passport photo editing never uploads your image at all.
The passport side grew out of a specific frustration: photo requirements are precise, badly documented, and different in every country. A photo that passes in the UK is refused in France. So each specification is written up separately, cites the authority it comes from, and states plainly when a rule varies by office.
How your files are handled
Privacy claims are easy to make, so here is specifically what happens to a file you give us.
- Passport photos never leave your device. Face detection, cropping, background replacement and export all run inside your browser using your own device's processing. The image is not uploaded.
- PDF processing happens server-side, then the file is purged. Some PDF operations need a server. Those files are written to a storage area that is not reachable over the web, and a scheduled cleanup task deletes them automatically.
- Uploads are validated, not trusted. File type is confirmed by inspecting the actual contents rather than the filename, extensions are checked against an allow-list, and oversized or malformed images are rejected before processing.
- Abuse is rate-limited. Upload endpoints cap how many requests a single address can make, which keeps the service available.
- Every connection is encrypted. HTTPS is enforced site-wide and browsers are instructed to refuse insecure connections to ClonyPDF in future.
- There is no account to leak. No registration, no password, no email capture. Nothing you do here is attached to an identity.

Is ClonyPDF free to use?
Yes. Every tool on ClonyPDF is free to use with no signup, no account and no payment. There are no usage limits behind a paywall and no watermarks added to your files.
Do you store the files I upload?
No. Files are not kept permanently. Passport photo editing runs entirely inside your browser, so those images are never uploaded at all. Files that do reach the server for PDF processing are written to a storage area that is not reachable from the web, and a scheduled cleanup task removes them automatically.
Do I need to create an account?
No. ClonyPDF has no accounts, no login and no email capture. You open a tool, use it and leave. Nothing is tied to an identity.
Does ClonyPDF work on mobile?

Requirements change and individual offices apply local practice, so always confirm the current specification with the authority handling your application before you submit.
